World Scholar's Cup
The World Scholar's Cup(WSC) regional competition in Hangzhou was an unforgettable experience for GSN's students. The competition consists of four main events: the Scholar's Bowl, the Scholar's Challenge, Collaborative Writing, and the Debate. The WSC is designed to encourage students to develop their skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork. It's an amazing opportunity to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and develop academic skills.
It was exciting for GSN's team to participate in the debating competition, demonstrating the abilities in teamwork, critical thinking, and public speaking. The team had several unforeseen difficulties during the competition, but they persisted and collaborated to get over them. For each member, the debate competition was an enriching learning opportunity, improving collaborative and public speaking abilities, learning how to think critically and creatively. As a result of comments from their opponents and things they learned from this experience, the ability to work efficiently under pressure was developed, even in tense circumstances.
GSN's team was thrilled and shocked to find that, given its outstanding performance, we came in fourth in the senior division! Georgia School was also overjoyed to place second in the Scholar's Challenge contest. Additionally, it is extremely pleased to see that both GSN teams have advanced to the global round.
