Awards Ceremony
The end of another school term is always the reason for celebration and recognition. Georgia School nurtures excellent students that stand out both academically and in terms of their personal character. As an American accredited school, GSN follows rigorous award certifications which are the result of the school’s quality of teaching, student commitment, and growing academic excellence.
The event was hosted by Mr. Noah, GSN's guidance counselor. The student certificates and trophies were presented during the commendation conference, by the head of school Mr. Cavon, and the assistant principal Ms. Qun Fu. The concept of "whole child education" is put into practice in Georgia School based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, arts, languages, and other aspects of student assessment and motivation.
During the event, the students from GSN high school's Honor Program also gave the presentation to the entire school, sharing the social issues they had learned about through independent research. The students participating in the Honors Program, must maintain a high GPA, complete an annual research project, participate in a specified number of AP courses, achieve top marks on standardized tests and maintain excellent standing with the school. When graduating from high school, students may also be recognized with honors designations directly on their diplomas.
