Once a Lion, Always a Lion
Children and teenagers that participate in sports learn valuable lessons that are applicable in sporting venues and within their personal lives. A sense of preparedness, collaboration with others, sportsmanship, motivation, time management, character development and seizing the moment are a few examples of the benefits students receive when participating on a GSN team.
Recognizing those athletes for their hard work and commitment is equally as important – both during games and after. Georgia School holds an annual Athletics Awards Ceremony, appreciating each and every student that has put in personal effort into joining a team and competing with their peers.
GSN Coach and Athletic Director, Mr. Brandon Flemming, brought inspiring words to all athletes during the ceremony: “None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful. Each of you hold an important role in your teammates lives and are all responsible for the successes and failures that come from being part of this family. Stick together, heads up, and hold each other to a high standard of greatness so that not only one can succeed, but your team can succeed!”
