GSN 2021 Graduation Ceremony
After four years of hard work and commitment, GSN’s Senior Class walked across the stage in blue and gold graduation gowns to receive their well-earned Georgia School High School Diplomas!
With over 130 offers of admission to top universities around the world, GSN’s grade 12 students are now fully prepared to embark on their next adventure. Addressing graduates within his commencement speech, GSN Head of School, Mr. Cavon Ahangarzadeh, and father of a graduating senior, shared “Each of you has a special gift, talent, and power… I am certain that within each of your chosen fields: the arts, law, medicine, the sciences, psychology, business, and liberal arts; and through the power of your character, you will make your mark and build a better world.”
Georgia School prides itself in preparing globally-minded, truthful, appreciative, and respectful citizens of the world; and while these traits can be identified during various activities within each school day, it was strongly evident during the graduation ceremony. As Grade 12 Homeroom teacher, Mr. Zachary Gerhard, said “What first struck me about this group’s dynamic was the unity that they demonstrated. Although they are a diverse and varied group, the first time I met them I could not believe the kindness and sincerity that they exhibited with one another, despite their many differences. I am optimistic about the young people who inhabit today’s middle and high schools, and the ways in which they treat their peers. Within this group, I saw attentiveness with one another’s lives. A care for their peers uncommon for this age group.”
After watching messages from their families, listening to thoughtful speeches by the Class Valedictorian and Salutatorian, and receiving their High School Diplomas, the time for seniors to move their tassels and toss their caps finally arrived. It marked the end of a long journey, intended to give students all the space necessary for their new beginning as university students. Be it in China, in the United States, in Canada, in Korea, in Europe, in Australia, or anywhere in the world, GSN is represented by young people of extraordinary capacity!
