Mother’s Day Picnic

GSN ended the week with a wonderful celebration for Early Years’ Mothers.

Gathering together for a picnic-style event, every mom was gifted a very special item upon arrival: their own, customized, ‘Lion Mom’ superhero cape!  At GSN we know that all moms are truly, SUPER HEROS!  The children, who are also a key part of the celebration, wore a blue cape labeled ‘Lion Cub”.   

With tents, mats, picnic baskets, and goodies spread around the area, families enjoyed their time together listening to student performed Mother’s Day songs in English and Chinese by Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten students. The children could not contain their excitement as they walked in to find their mother waiting for them!

All in attendance enjoyed the morning with their family and teachers. Lion Moms were happy to participate in this unique event. One of our Pre-K3 moms shared that it ,“was very thoughtful in terms of the hand-written cards by students, the gifts, and the decorations. This event was so touching, as well as both the English and Chinese songs, it all went straight to my heart!” Mothers from Pre-K4 mentioned that, “because the activity was small, it was perfect to enjoy together! I hope we can have more future opportunities to enter the school campus for things like this.” Lastly, a Kindergarten mom highlighted the decoration of the thematic event, which was “really good and impressive!”
