Welcome Back Lions
After weeks of summer vacation, Georgia School is excited to welcome back students to campus and kick off the 2020-2021 academic year!
Last week, teachers and staff have been preparing themselves, their classrooms, and class materials in order to guarantee the best and safest learning environment for students. It has been a time for a re-evaluation of the school's most important aspects and the best ways to provide support for a child's healthy development.
Monday, August 31, marked the first day of school for GSN students. For some toddlers, the first day can be quite uneasy. A big change of environment and routine brings out a fear that everyone has experienced at least once in their life. Thankfully, GSN Early Years teachers are caring and patient, nurturing children’s well-being and comfort throughout this adaptation phase. Pre-K Teacher Mr. Shahz, explained that students in his class are very young and are probably coming to school for the first time. “I try to be very empathetic and observant towards their needs and body language, which allows me to understand my students better and helps me create a safe, comfortable, and trusting environment that students need to feel confident during their first day of school,” he said.
GSN’s Head of School Mr. Cavon Ahangarzadeh said “We were proud to launch into the 2020/2021 school year with our students, with COVID-19 precautionary measures in place across campus. Classrooms hummed with enthusiasm all day long. The engines of learning are fired up again at Georgia School Ningbo!”
