Georgia School Ningbo recently purchased 32,000 internationally-certified surgical masks with the help and support of the school community. In only three days, the school was able to fundraise RMB 76,870.
Monday March 30, GSN's Head of School, Mr. Cavon Ahangarzadeh, and GSN's administrative staff travelled to Cixi to deliver boxes of masks along with notes of best wishes.
The notes, written by Mr. Cavon, read, "We offer this donation of surgical masks in the spirit of 'Tian Xia Yi Jia' -under the heavens we are all one family. We are very appreciative of all healthcare professionals around the world! We are ‘… all fruits of one tree, the leaves of one branch, the flowers of one garden’”.

According to recent news reports, healthcare workers in many countries are in desperate need of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as surgical masks, face shields, and medical coverings. As involved global citizens with the aim to support the efforts of healthcare workers across the globe, GSN reached out to a local PPE supplier. The company holds all relevant China medical PPE certifications, and international certifications, to produce and ship high-quality surgical masks to several trusted medical facilities located in the home countries of GSN teachers.

This has not been GSN's only admirable deed. In mid-February, when China was fighting the frontlines of the pandemic, over 130,000 masks were donated in the name of Georgia School. Led by GSN's CEO, Ms. Jing Chen and with help from local and global organizations, the masks were imported from Russia and delivered to various hospitals and companies in Ningbo.
